Girl Scouts: Mechanical Engineering                             Cost: $38/per

This half day event is open to Girl Scouts of all ages. Certified teachers will work with the girls on three Mechanical Engineering Badges related to their Girl Scout Troop level. A lunch of pizza, drinks, salad and dessert will be included. This is a drop off event. Daisies and Brownies will complete the requirements to receive three Mechanical Engineering Badges. Daisies: Board Game Design, Roller Coaster Design & Model Car Design. Brownies: Fling Flyer Challenge, Leap Bot Design & Race Car Design. (Badges are not included.)
 

All About Achieving will be facilitating TWO Girl Scout Events at the Stuart Air Show on Sunday, November 3. The cost is only $8/girl and $13/Troop Leader but must be done through the site to issue tickets to the whole event. (This is a special event included as part of the show so families are encouraged to attend the other events as well.)

1:00pm  Brownies Fling Flyer Design Challenge Work like an engineer to create a Fling  Flyer,  an airplane you'll make, and explore what keeps it and other things, such as birds, planes, and space ships, in the air.  1. Learn about forces that affect flight 2. Design and build a Fling Flyer 3. Test your Fling Flyer 4. Analyze and share your results 5. Brainstorm ways to improve your design.   When you’ve earned this badge, you'll have learned about the forces that affect flight as you design, build, and test a Fling Flyer. 2:30pm  Daisy Space Science Explorer Explore and observe the sky like a real space scientist. 1. Explore the Sun 2. Observe the Moon 3. Meet the Stars.  When you’ve earned this badge, you’ll have explored and observed the Sun, Moon, and Stars. Girl Scouts: Shop 'Til You Drop!                                        Cost: $15/per

Participants will be prepared for the holiday season as they learn how to make wise choices and comparison shop. How much money can we save by utilizing common sense, technology and some detective work? Daisy: Money Counts and Brownie: Money Manager Badges will be earned at this event. Badge not included.

Participants will work on several exciting activities related to digital photography and digital arts. They will utilize various forms of technology to photograph, create and design! Badges not included. Brownie: Computer Expert, Junior: Digital Photographer & Cadette: Digital Movie Maker

This half day event is open to Girl Scouts of all ages. We will be joined by several women who have entered STEM fields and will participate in a variety of hands on activities related to the contributions of women in the field of science. A lunch of pizza, drinks, salad and dessert will be included. This is a drop off event. Girls will receive a Special Women in Science recognition. They will earn three Robotics Badges. Daisies: What Robots Do, How Robots Move & Design A Robot. Brownies & Juniors: Programming Robots, Designing Robots & Showcasing Robots. Robotics badges are not included.

Thursday, March 5, 2020 5:00 pm to 6:15 pm

Participants will learn about the world around them. Juniors will learn the science of beauty while earning the Flowers badge while Brownies will study the bugs that love them and earn the Bugs badge! These girls will receive a visit from a very special beekeeper and begin to understand why some of the most beautiful, and some of the most “icky”, things in life are very important to our environment. Badges not included.

Thurs, March 5, 2020 6:30pm-7:45pm

This program is open to any registered Girl Scout. Participating Girl Scouts will examine fingerprints, extract DNA, observe "blood" splatter and solve a "crime", all while earning the Junior Detective Badge or the Cadette Special Agent Badge. Often, special visitors will join us to share their knowledge with participants so be on the lookout during this very special event. Badges are not included.
