Young Life Martin County

Introducing Kristen McWilliams & Young Life Martin County

Kristen (“KT”) McWilliams is a native resident of Martin County, Florida. She loves to serve her community and impact the lives of those in it-- especially teenagers.

With eleven years of experience in youth ministry, KT frequently speaks throughout the community on topics relevant to youth culture. She earned a Masters in Counseling and is a trained Life Coach.

Currently, KT serves as the Area Director for Young Life Martin County. Kristen believes that each individual can find meaning in being loved and known by God, through Jesus. She loves sharing the hope that she has found within that relationship. Kristen also values connecting with a variety of worldviews and religions and believes in respectful conversations among differing beliefs. She looks forward to the working with youth in the Martin County community.

Young Life Martin County will be offering high school students the following three programs:

1) Life Coaching:

What is Life Coaching:

Life Coaching is a working relationship between coach and client that occurs in a safe environment. This relationship is successful when the client (in this case, student) allows their coach (in this case, Kristen) to encourage them towards a personal goal through active listening and powerful questioning.

Cost: $5 per session      All proceeds will be contributed to Young Life Martin County

Who Can Benefit? Anyone! However, Life Coaching is especially helpful for someone facing transition, aiming for new goals, or contemplating a decision.

Frequency: Once a month. This allows the student ample time to work through their steps before reconnecting with the coach. If the client does not need a session every month, they can opt for every other month.

Appointments:  2nd and 4th Fridays

3:15-3:35           3:40-4:00           4:05-4:25                 4:30-4:50

2) Campaigners:

This weekly meeting is for those who wish to learn more or grow in their relationship with Jesus through study, service, and leadership. Though this group is faith-based, any high school student is welcome to join. Wednesday mornings, 7:15-8:00 am, donut holes provided.

3) Connections:

This time is for those who wish to gather together to discuss what’s on their mind and make connections with each other. Some weeks may be more structured than others based on the collective desire of the group.

1st and 3rd Fridays from 3:15-4:00 p.m.

Programs Begin in January
