Critical Reading Skills Courses

All classes are taught by certified teachers with extensive backgrounds in the targeted areas. Classes provide students with instruction in the identified skill area below. They support and extend learning that happens in the child's classroom, providing skills that will assist students with standardized tests. Teachers will provide supplemental activities, feedback and take home activities after each class. 

Elementary School Courses (Thursday, January 30 to Thursday, March 26)           
No class will be held 3/19 (Spring Break)     
                         
(1st/2nd)    Addition/Subtraction Facts & Phonics/Reading Skills     5:30pm - 6:30pm  
(3rd-5th)    Critical Reading Skills                                                     5:30pm - 7:00pm
 
*Third and Fourth grade Florida students who scored a Level 1 or Level 2 on the previous years FSA are eligible for a $500 Step Up For Students grant through SUFS. If awarded, it can be used for this course. Parents wishing to research that can find information and apply at http://www.fldoe.org/schools/school-choice/k-12-scholarship-programs/reading/
 
Class size is very limited. If a course is not listed on the drop down menu below then it is closed for registration due to enrollment. You may call the office at 341-1400 to be placed on a Waiting List. Course registrations close one week prior to the start of class. There are no make up classes or refunds for missed classes. Cancellations will be charged a $35 cancellation fee. There are no sibling discounts due to very limited class sizes.
