Golf World: Swing Into S.T.E.A.M.

Ages 6-15       Mondays          January 8, 22, 29  February 5                 $85           *2:00pm-4:00pm

AAALC and 76 Golf World are teaming up to offer a one of a kind experience. Campers will spend sessions at 76 Golf World exploring the science behind Golf, Go Karts, Krazy Kars, Gyro Extreme, Shooting Hoops and other Adventure Attractions located at this popular Martin County attraction. Utilizing the upstairs party room/classroom, to learn the science behind these fun activities, while the other half will be spent experiencing and experimenting with what they have learned. Not only can you play pinball but you can build a game as well! What is the difference between kinetic, potential and thermal energy and why does it matter in golf? Homeschoolers will participate in a variety of science, technology, engineering and math activities prior, during and after participation in on site attractions.

Robotics/Coding
Ages 6-15       Mondays     February 12, 26  March 5,19                       $55

Robotics and coding are becoming critical parts of the lives of today's youth. Youth are being prepared for jobs that don't yet exist and need to be prepared to think, create and inspire! Participants will build a variety of robotic designs and create computer code to make them move and emit sound. Exposure to different types of age appropriate robots, coding experiences, engineering and technology will enhance each child's camp experience. All participants will design several different robots, some of which the child can take home and enjoy.

Woodworking
Ages 6-15       Mondays     March 26    April 2, 9, 16                             $55

Woodworking recognizes the importance of integrating the hands and the mind. Homeschoolers will design and carve their own creations and hear from local artisans who are masters at this skill. Incorporating the science behind different materials and sharing secrets to excellent final products, homeschoolers will leave with beginning skills to complete innovative designs at home.

Minecraft Education: Parkour
Ages 6-15       Mondays      April 23, 30  May 7, 14                               $55

Scientific American declared, "...not only is Minecraft immersive and creative, but it is an excellent platform for making almost any subject area more engaging." Enter a world of rules, parameters, levels and goals that require hard work, intense thinking, teamwork and problem solving skills. AAALC uses this popular game to provide an academic setting for students. Campers will take a trip that carries them along a route with various obstacles and paths. Jumping, climbing, running and other methods of movement will be key to discovering the way out. This camp will be a week filled with science, technology, engineering and math skills via an a-maze-ing format!
