(Entering 1st-6th grade) Fairy Tale Science

Join AAALC for some Fairy Tale Fun with STEAM programs that integrate science, technology, engineering, art and math activities. This magical one week camp will engross students in a variety of Fairy Tales. Students will become a scientist, explorer, reader, writer and thinker. Learning science through literature activities brings the mind of a young scientist to life! The Frog Prince will take young biologists through a variety of frog related activities as we explore the life cycle of a frog, measure distances, create habitats, understand amphibians and might just raise their very own tadpoles. Ladies and gentlemen, this is "ribbiting" stuff! Stories like The Three Little Pigs will encourage these engineers through a variety of problems and solutions as they don hard hats to try different building materials to create solutions for our three friends. Students may meet a real live pig and understand the story elements of The Three Little Pigs while working through a variety of reading, writing, social studies, math and science tasks. There is nothing "boaring" about these lessons!

(Entering 1st-6th grade) Minecraft: Kingdoms, Dragons, Princesses & Queens

Once upon a time....Scientific American declared, "...not only is Minecraft immersive and creative, but it is an excellent platform for making almost any subject area more engaging." Enter a medieval world of rules, parameters, levels and goals that require hard work, intense thinking, teamwork and problem solving skills. Build a castle and protect your kingdom as you explore the world of dragons, princesses and queens. Minecraft provides a whole new take on happily ever after!
