Category: Skills Class

Wednesday, June 14 - Wednesday, August 2   Beginning Web Design

Beginning Web Design will teach 4th–12th grade students to use HTML to create and design a website. Each student will design his/her own site. Students will learn web site layout, HTML symbols, text styling, hyperlinks, navigation bars, simple CSS effects, spacing, positioning, graphics and image editing and more. This active, hands-on camp will require students to complete a full web design beginners course. Students do not need any prior programming or HTML experience. The website and design skills will start with basic skills and help progress to a final product. Each student will receive a textbook and accompanying CD. Although not required, each student should bring his/her own laptop in order to save and keep the work created. Laptops should have Windows or Mac OS with CD-ROM. Materials for the course will be ordered on May 10, therefore no refunds can be issued after that date.

PLEASE NOTE:  Please adhere to the age restrictions placed on the class. If a class is unavailable for registration then it is full. To be placed on the Waiting List please contact 341-1400. There is a $35 fee for cancellations or changes that occur more than two weeks prior to class. AAALC cannot issue a refund for any classes cancelled within two weeks of the class start date unless there is a waiting list. A $35 fee will be charged for any adjustments made due to a wait list replacement. Space is very limited and AAALC wants to accommodate all budding tech wizards! Thank you for your understanding.
