This engaging, hands on class will encourage discovery and enhance reading and literature skills while building a love for all that is Harry Potter!
Makerspace Mayhem This Freaky Friday option includes a Tuesday evening class. Is your child a maker, creator, thinker, builder, dreamer and everything in between? AAALC is opening a Makerspace that will include activities like movie making, coding, laser optics, architecture, engineering, cooking, sewing, engineering and so much more. Makerspace themes will center around Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math (STEAM). A variety of age appropriate challenges, activities and supplies will be provided, engaging members with a different experience each time they come. Students will engineer, design, build, program, create and much more. This option must be purchased as part of a regular Makerspace monthly membership. See specific details at Makerspace Memberships but use the registration link below for the Freaky Friday option.
Minecraft Education uses the popular game to provide an academic setting for students. Centering around themes, each six week course will provide students with the opportunity to utilize a variety of reading, writing, listening, speaking, technology, social studies, math and science skills to work together toward an objective or goal. Two six week courses will be offered to groups of students based on age and ability. Students will enter the world of Minecraft with an instructor and classroom peers. Their adventures will continue each week within the same Minecraft world.
