BMX Bikes-Make, Investigate, Take! (CLOSED)
Ages 7 – 14 (Only 10 spaces available in each section)
AAALC is bringing a USA BMX gold metal program to Stuart. Science, Technology, Engineering and Math will combine with BMX bikes for a one of a kind experience. This program is equal parts education and equal part athletics and exercise. Each camper will assemble his/her own BMX bike, learn about tire pressure, seat positioning, force, off road v. pavement, pedal, coast, balance, tire tread, resistance, speed, stopping, breaking and diameter. Campers will leave camp with a one of a kind STEM experience as well as a bike he/she built! Campers will also receive a safety helmet, an alternative bike tire and a free one day membership to USA BMX.
Minecraft Education: El Camino
Ages 7 – 14
Minecraft Education uses the popular game to provide an academic setting for students. Centering around themes, each camp will provide students with the opportunity to utilize a variety of reading, writing, listening, speaking, technology, social studies, math and science skills to work together toward an objective or goal.
El Camino takes students on an adventure building improved California Missions along El Camino. From jungle areas to desert lands, students must figure out how to leverage resources, work together and successfully build a mission.

Got Hot Wheels? This play-based camp provides hands on student activities that are designed to engage, explore, explain, elaborate and evaluate. Campers are encourages to ask questions and create experiments to determine the answers. The lessons in this sequence of hands-on activities build upon each other to develop a coherent conceptual understanding of Potential and Kinetic Energy, Measurement and Distance, Data Analysis and research presentations. All while playing with hot wheels! Vrrrrrrooooooommmmmmmm!
