After reading Snowmen at Night by Caralyn and Mark Buehner, students will discuss the story elements and then turn into young engineers, building a catapult capable of competing in AAALC's second annual Snowball Fight! Young chemists will find out what snowmen do at night and learn the science of snowflakes. Lessons in supersaturation, capillary action and crystallization are just some of the "chilling" activities.
