Does she love to build? Does he have an endless imagination? Mad scientists will explore different aspects of science as they become familiar with the science in their everyday world. Through aerodynamics they will experiment with a variety of flight challenges. They will learn how physics can be fun as they build roller coaster designs and marble mazes. An understanding of how mixtures create shocking results will be developed as they study chemistry through erupting volcanoes\, baking soda rockets and more. Campers will become familiar with the critical role robotics plays in their world as they use LEGO robotics kits to design and program bots to complete simple tasks and solve real-world problems. Campers will wrap up the week of fun exploring gooey\, ooey\, icky creations and more.\n\nEating Our Way Through STEM (Entering Grades PreK - 6th)  (CLOSED)\n\nThis delicious trip into STEM will cook up some chemistry\, melt into math and complete excellent edible engineering projects. Using everyday snacks\, crazy candy and cool food items\, campers will study various science\, technology\, engineering and math concepts related to food! Have you ever done math with M&M’s? Do you know how to bounce an egg? What foods “blow up” when you put them together? This is a fun\, interactive camp that engages children from start to finish. Note: Campers will be exposed to many different kinds of foods and food prep.
