SUMMARY:July 6-10: Engineering & Design\, DNA to Dissection & 3D Design/Print
DESCRIPTION:The Amazing Race: Engineering a Trip Around the Globe (CLOSED)\n(Entering PreK-8th Grade)\n\nCampers will get their passports stamped as they take a trip around the globe using Google Earth\, Virtual Reality\, Engineering & Design\, LEGO and much more. Groups will be separated by age for grade appropriate activities that will challenge campers who may visit the Eiffel Tower and then design\, build and test the stability of their own tower. From there they may choose to travel to the Golden Gate Bridge to discover how different structures are built. Future doctors\, or simply budding scientists who are insatiably curious\, will experience the wonder of humans\, plants and animals and discover what makes them tick! Hands on experiences\, virtual dissection and actual dissection will occur but will be age appropriate and will be taught in conjunction with a respect and admiration for nature\, animals and the world around us.\n\n3D Printing (CLOSED)\n(Entering 1st-8th grade) \n                                                            \nStudents will learn the intricacies of 3D design and printing.  They will find and create models through various available software programs and then prepare the model for printing on a 3D printer by making design adjustments\, creating code and managing printer functions. Various project options will be offered and students will bring home a final project at the end of the week. Campers will also be provided with tips/tricks to use at home to continue the design portion of their learning after camp is over.\n\nImportant Notice: Camps fill up quickly.
