SUMMARY:Junior Product Designer and Jeweler Badge Classes (Girl Scout Event)
DESCRIPTION:Junior Girl Scouts can participate in one or both of these classes. The classes will occur back to back with a short break for a snack. During the first class session\, Juniors will learn how to think like a product designer\, creating new items to solve common problems. They will observe what makes a good product\, figure out what's working and innovate to find solutions. They will also learn about women who created products commonly used today. During the second session Juniors will complete activities teaching them how to make different kinds of jewelry from easy to find items. They will turn everyday objects into jewelry\, use metal to make jewelry and create jewelry inspired by another culture. Juniors will leave with a special items created during the event. Girls will receive the badge associated with these activities at the end of the sessions.Â No refunds for absences canÂ be issued more than one week prior to class due to materials and prep cost.
