DESCRIPTION:Seminar Descriptions\n\nSeveral classes for parents/students are held throughout the year and focus on specific topics. Scheduled classes for 2017Â include the following:\n\nNovember 11\, 2017Â Â 9:00am - 12:00pmÂ Â Â  Scholarship Application Assistance\n\nStudents will work with counselors to identify scholarship applications appropriate to their specific needs and complete the application process. Class size is limited and will target high school seniors. Students will work on computers at the AAALC office\, completing his/her own scholarsip and financial aid applications. A counselor will be on hand to guide each student through the process and answer questions. A second date may be added for students placed on the wait list should this class fill up.Â \n\nINDIVIDUAL APPOINTMENTS:\n\nParents and students will meet with a certified high school guidance counselor to discuss a four year plan.Â  The individual consultation will include an interest inventory and guideline for current state and national requirements. Information on standardized test scores\, scholarships\, opportunities within the school and community setting\, and many other important aspects of planning your high school experience will be discussed.\n\nFor Juniors and Seniors\, parents and students can work with the guidance counselor to review paperwork\, scholarships\, applications and other college requirements in an effort to maximize college admissions opportunities.\n\nTo schedule an individual appointment for your student call 772-341-1400.
