SUMMARY:June 29 - July 3: Wacky Weather-Eating Our Way Through Math-Weebots Robotics
DESCRIPTION:~~WACKY WEATHER\nAges 6-11          Location: Bridges Montessori School\n\nStudents will use weather patterns to understand explore the uses of energy\, including mechanical\, light\, thermal\, electrical and sound and understand alternative energy sources. They will create a build a model home that uses a passive solar design. Students will identify fresh and saltwater sources and build an edible aquifer. They will move through the seasons to discover the science of snowflakes\, the water cycle and the effects of the sun on the human body. Through website resources\, experiments and the scientific process\, students will become "meteorologists and understand the importance of weather to our daily lives.\n \n~~EATING OUR WAY THROUGH MATH\nAges 6-11          Location: Bridges Montessori School\n\nHands on math activities allow students to "devour" primary and intermediate math skills through books like Skittles Graphing\, M&M Counting Book and Hershey Fractions. IPAD Math Applications and coding will be utilized within the frameworks on camp curriculum. Staff will need to be notified of students with allergies as this camp will involve several food products.\n \n~~WEEBOTS ROBOTICS\nAges 6-10           Location: Bridges Montessori School\n\nRobotics build science\, technology\, engineering and math skills and provides students with real world experiences\, allowing them to critically think about problems and solutions while developing programming skills and team building. AAALC robotics rograms begin as young as kindergarten and encourage students to continue through high school and beyond.\n\nWeebots Robotics is for students who can build Lego structures and begin to learn to program these structures to move and make sounds. Students build and design a robot\, developing critical thinking\, designing and programming techniques.\n\n\n\n\n\nÂ
