Centering around themes\, each camp will provide students with the opportunity to utilize a variety of reading\, writing\, listening\, speaking\, technology\, social studies\, math and science skills to work together toward an objective or goal.\nÂ \nFair Trade Rainforest Farm\nThe world is set in a rainforest clearing which has been prepared for a Fair Trade farm. The assignment is to re-establish the farm by preparing it to harvest and craft goods to sell to Fair Trade Foundation. Gold coins and monetary trades are required teaching students about a fair trade system.\nÂ \n~~STOP MOTION MOVIE MAKING - LIGHTS\, CAMERA\, ACTION! (CLOSED-CAMP IS FULL)\nAges 7-12Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â  Location: All About Achieving Learning Centers\nÂ \nGet ready to direct your very own stop motion animated movie. Writers\, directors and producers\, ages 8 and up\, will produce their own movie by:\nÂ \nâ¢Â writing a script\nâ¢Â creating a storyboard\nâ¢Â developing characters\nâ¢Â filming\nâ¢Â editing\nÂ \nStop Motion is an animation technique in which students create movies using different objects or characters. Students take a series of still photos\, moving their characters based on the script and storyboard they created. The photos are put together and played\, adding sound and special effects\, to create a moving film. Students are paired to work in teams and create their own movie from start to finish.Â  AAALC Stop Motion participants can choose from several stop motion animated characters that include Lego figures\, clay figures and Minecraft characters. This activity develops a variety of STEM skills. All materials\, hardware\, software and cameras are provided.Â Special Consideration: Parents will be asked to pick up 20 minutes early on the last day of camp to view their student's movie.\nÂ
