DESCRIPTION:Pioneer Days: Vet Cadet (Entering Grades K - 6th)\nThe Vet Cadet Camp has been developed for children who are interested in veterinary medicine\, animal care and husbandry or just plain love animals and science! Campers will learn through hands-on experiences with both live animals and/or models as they use stethoscopes to listen to the heart and lungs\, diagnose and treat injuries or illness\, give injections\, read medicine labels and more. Campers will receive their own Vet Scrub Shirt and create books of photos and research\, as they work with different farm animals each day. This camp is held at 8251 SW Citrus Blvd in Palm City. Note: Please consider registration carefully if your child has serious allergies to animals\, insects or other things that may prevent them from enjoying this experience.\n\nPioneer Days: Cooking-Farm to Table (Entering Grades 2ndâ 6th)\nThis delicious trip into healthy habits\, gardening\, cooking and more will teach campers how to eat from farm to table! They will study food systems\, health\, portion control\, eating local and so much more! This fun\, interactive camp engages children from start to finish. Campers will study and prepare healthy foods\, making various dishes from scratch! Note: Campers will be exposed to many kinds of foods and food prep.
