DESCRIPTION:Pioneer Kids: Vet Cadet (CLOSED)\n(Entering Grades 1st - 6th) Â \nLocation: 8251 SW Citrus Blvd in Palm City\n\nThe Vet Cadet Camp has been developed for children who are interested in veterinary medicine\, animal care and husbandry or just plain love animals and science! Campers will learn through hands-on experiences with both live animals and/or models depending on the activity\, as they use stethoscopes to listen to the heart and lungs\, diagnose and treat injuries or illness\, give injections\, read medicine labels and more. Campers will receive their own Vet Scrub Shirt and create book of photos and research\, as they work with different farm animals each day. This camp is held OFF SITE at 8251 SW Citrus BlvdÂ located in Palm City. Have you ever heard the term "too pretty to eat"? Do you wonder how cake artists create such beautiful desserts? In the morning campers will join a local cake artist Candi Keene of Keene Cakes to learn the skills needed to create detailed masterpieces\, bringing home sweet treats as they learn the decorating techniques associated with the use of each tool. They will let their imaginations run wild as they put their skills to the test and learn the various ways art can feed the body and the mind! In the afternoon\, campers will learn to cook a variety of foods from appetizers to desserts. With a full kitchen on site\, students will chop\, peel\, saute and create delicious treats. (There is an additional cost included in the camp fee to cover the extensive materials and supplies needed.)
