Pioneer Days: Vet Cadet (CLOSED)

\nLocation: 8251 SW Citrus Blvd in Palm City
The Vet Cadet Camp has been developed for children who are interested in veterinary medicine\, animal care and husbandry or just plain love animals and science! Campers will learn through hands-on experiences with both live animals and/or models depending on the activity\, as they use stethoscopes to listen to the heart and lungs\, diagnose and treat injuries or illness\, give injections\, read medicine labels and more. Campers will receive their own Vet Scrub Shirt and create book of photos and research\, as they work with different farm animals each day. This camp is held at a ranch located in Palm City. Note: Please consider registration carefully if your child has serious allergies to animals\, insects or other things that may prevent them from enjoying this experience.
\nPioneer Days: Farm to Table: You Are What You Eat (CLOSED)
\n(Entering 3rd – 8th grade)
\nLocation:Â 8251 SW Citrus Blvd. Palm City
This delicious trip into healthy habits\, gardening\, cooking and more will teach campers how to eat from farm to table! This is a fun\, interactive camp that engages children from start to finish. Campers will learn various gardening techniques and will prepare healthy lunches daily from fresh produce\, making various foods from scratch! Note: Campers will be exposed to many different kinds of foods and food prep. Campers will not need to bring lunch unless they want an alternative to the daily meal prepared. Please do not register for this camp if your child has food allergies that will be dangerous to participation. This camp is held OFF SITE at 8251 SW Citrus Blvd in Palm City. (There is an additional cost included in the camp fee to cover materials and supplies.)
