Participants will explore our local, state and national elections and begin to understand the importance of actively participating in their community. Activities will include a discussion of local, state and national issues and how elected officials work to effect change. The girls will meet some very special elected officials and candidates and learn how to celebrate their community, understand government and find common ground! This program will be completed as a joint class and then consist of breakout groups for Daisies, Brownies, Junior, Cadettes and Seniors. Please Note: No political party or candidate promotion will occur during these sessions. Badges will need to be provided by the troop leader or purchased by the participant.
