METS = STEM (St. Lucie County Mets Stadium Partnership)

AAALC and St. Lucie Mets Stadium have partnered to bring baseball and STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) together for a world class experience! Campers will spend the week at Mets Stadium 525 NW Peacock Blvd. Port St. Lucie, FL 34986. Campers will work with certified teachers completing STEM activities both on and off the field. Students will use baseball to study balance, motion, geometry, mathematics and much more. Campers will be divided by age group and will spend half the day on the field and half the day off. On the field they will experience the STEM behind the game of baseball and experiment with different angles, positions, equipment and more. Off the field they will work in a skybox and complete hands on science that supports on field lessons. Campers will receive a 30 minute lunch break. On Wednesday of camp week, students will enjoy a baseball game! Parents can join their child for game day but must purchase a ticket at the box office. Lunch is available at the stadium each day for an additional cost of $8. Students can also bring their own lunch.

Transportation to and from the stadium is not provided. All students will meet at the stadium at 9:00am each morning and must remain with their parent or guardian until sign in is complete each day.

AAALC recommends attending Klutch's Kids Crew, weekly opportunities to attend baseball games throughout the summer. This is a wonderful opportunity for any family that enjoys summer and baseball! Additional information will be available soon at http://www.stluciemets.com.
